Essential to the
proper performance of any on site treatment system is regular
scheduled maintenance. You would not drive your car without
changing the oil. Somehow you know that every 4 months
or 3,000 to 5,000 miles you must change the oil and look over
key components so that you don’t get stranded on the
side of the road.
Every 6 months,
for the lifetime of the system, Hoot recommends maintenance
be done by a qualified professional, certified by Hoot. We
have mechanical components that sustain a biological environment
where wastewater treatment takes place. Having a
qualified professional look after your system is the only way
to ensure that everything is working properly.
Some areas that
are very environmentally sensitive require even more frequent
service intervals. In addition, Hoot has remote telemetry
options that can automatically alert service providers in the
event of a problem with your system. Contact you local dealer
for the availability of this type of equipment in your area.
In Texas, Homeowners by law, can request to be trained on the maintenance and operation of their own treatment system. Please read the details and understand the risks associated with this request. The following links outline the procedures and requirements of being trained.
