The Hoot Aerobic
Treatment System treats wastewater more effectively than standards
require. A Hoot System reduces both the biochemical oxygen
demand (BOD) and the total suspended solids (TSS) more than
required for Class I aerobic treatment systems.
For Class I aerobic
treatment systems, the criteria for acceptance is a 30 day
average of 25 mg/L for Carbonaceous 5-day Biochemical Oxygen
Demand (CBOD5) and 30 mg/L for Total Suspended Solids
(TSS).
The HOOT Aerobic
Treatment System produced results of 2.2 for CBOD5,
and 1.5 for TSS, both a 99% reduction of the influent waste
stream.
