NUTRIENT REDUCTION
During the Performance
Evaluation of the system, composite samples were collected
once per week during the 6 month test period for both the Hoot
and the Hoot-BNR system. Although Nutrient reduction is not
part of the ANSI/NSF Standard 40 evaluation, Nutrients are
becoming of more concern in many parts of the country. The
Hoot-BNR System was sampled for Nitrate, Nitrite, TKN, and
Phosphorus. The results below are the averages for all of these
parameters.

the Hoot-BNR System has one of the lowest effluent results
