The NSF/ANSI Standard
40 was developed in 1970 in response to the clean water act. In
the 35 years since the original adoption of the Standard, it
has been improved nearly a dozen times. In the history
of the Standard 40, no system has produced better treatment
results than the HOOT Aerobic System.
The NSF/ANSI Standard
245 was adopted in 2007 in response to the need in environmentally sensititive areas for Nitrogen Reduction Technology. Hoot achieved a reduction in Total Nitrogen of 85%, with an effluent Total Nitrogen of 5.8. There is no Standard 245, system with better treatment
results than the Hoot ANR System.
Listing by NSF
states that not only does the performance evaluation, but that Hoot, continues to comply
with the continued service policies and have passed annual audits of their distributors.
